Why did you get involved in the production of āFlourishingā?
To help raise awareness and money while doing something I love š
Who is your favourite character in the show and why?
Helen Keller. I cannot imagine how scary the world would be without sight or sound, yet she was able to achieve so much in her life. She really is an inspiration. And, goes without saying, Kendall (although I do not see her as a ācharacterā but as the show itself)
Florence Nightingale was known as the lady with the lamp because she spent time with her patients and really stepped into their darkness and cared for them. Who is a person who is not a family member who stepped into your life and helped you flourish?
Many special people but a turning point in my life was when a friend helped me develop the confidence to be myself and go for my dreams š
Vincent van Gogh dreamed of people being deeply moved by his art.
If you had all the talent in the world, what kind of art would you want to be creating?
Creating and singing inspirational ballads
Helen Keller once said: āI am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.ā
What is your āone thingā you can offer to help a person in a tough place flourish?
To sit and really listen to THEIR story
What messages, thoughts, and/or feelings would you like the audience to leave with after watching āFlourishingā?
To be inspired to care for others with acceptance and respect for differences; a small gesture can make a huge difference especially when seeing others through their eyes.
